The Inauguration of the ISA
As new interplanetary colonies grew,
the United Colonial Nations(UCN) discovered the lack of effective
long-range communication caused gaps in the ability for the UCN
to provide efficient defense throughout their star systems. To combat the lag,
the UCN organized the Interplanetary Strategic Alliance
(ISA), a body that allowed individual colonies the ability to integrate
defensive capabilities to their specific requirements as well as enjoy full
partnership in a unified defensive alliance of multiple colonies.
Localized colonial administration provides funding and manpower whilst the UCN
provides the training, equipment, and full political support for all of the
interplanetary colonial administration. The ISA acts as the main
policing and defensive body for the citizens, and the main revenue gathering
party for the local government. Each ISA command is directly
subordinate to local colonial governmental authority, which in turn is
subordinate to the UCN interplanetary authority. Since each ISA
Command is an independent unit of each colony, it is not linked to the
military command of the UCN. As a result, the ISA Command's
budget and strength are determined by the funds each local colonial
administration provides.
Colonization
During the Terran Era
(2055–2128), Earth was limited on nearly all types of resources. Years of
nuclear war broke out as a result, and soon Mankind was forced to search for
new habitats in order to sustain itself. After numerous failed attempts at
colonization by various corporations. Arriving in the Sol system, scientists
discovered that the nearest planet in the system, was filled with rich
resources but unsuitable for human colonization due to a volatile atmosphere
and poor ecosystem. However, a nearby planet resembling Earth featured a more
suitable habitat. The ISA named the planet after its former Commander Philip
Vekta and so the planet was colonized.
The Ranking System
- Rookie: A new recruit to the ISA undergoing training to become
a fully fledged member of the ISA
- Private: Has went over and upheld the training and has become a
fully fledged member of the ISA, but must take a test to prove he has knowledge
about the basics, to proceed further in rank.
- Corporal: Has taken the test and has knowledge of the basics in
the game, to proceed further in rank he must have the ability to lead and
demonstrate his leadership skills to his superiors.
- Sergeant: Has proven his leadership skills and has proven
himself worthy of the rank Sergeant, and will be regularly leading the ranks
below him.
- Sergeant Major: Has shown extraordinary leadership skills and
is capable of leading the army when needed, and is in charge of all the
Sergeants and corporals in the army, and is the one responsible of all or most
of the promotions and demotions. ( There will only 1 to 3 Sergeant Majors,
depending on the size of the ISA)
- 2nd Lieutenant: Are apart of ISA Command and will be able to discuss on decisions being made but are not fully fledged members of the ISA command so will not have the right to vote on decisions on matters about the faction, and they will
administrate the troops as well as Sergeant Majors, and are in charge of their
Squadrons/Platoons, each Lieutenant will lead a Squad/Platoon of their own (Department) and are
responsible of their Squad/Platoon's response time, combat ability, and such
statistics such as the ones listed. Although the status of the Squad/Platoon will have "Minor Squad/Platoon" Status.
- 1st Lieutenant: 1st Lieutenants are similar to 2nd Lieutenants, they are part of ISA Command but will have no rights on voting in discussions/matters of the faction, like 2nd Lieutenants they will administer troops and Sergeant Majors as well, and just like them, they will have Squads/Platoons but they are just bigger and better, so if any Squad/Platoon Leader that is a 2nd Lieutenant and has more recruits than the average Squads/Platoons and rise above the average combat levels, the leader will be promoted to 1st Lieutenant, and the Squad/Platoon will have the "Major Squad/Platoon" Status.

Captains may also have teaching roles at combat schools or special
training sessions as well as serve at battalion (the whole army) level
command posts.

but they may also be found leading specialized companies, such as
